I was fascinated with photography as a teenager because it felt oddly satisfying to pretend to be an artist. (That was way back in the days of developing film and printing in a dark-room.)
As I’ve lived longer, I have come to appreciate the fact that life moves very quickly and the only pause button is the shutter on a camera.
stand sit lay crouch can be found behind a Nikon D40 right now. As I read about aperture and composition, practice with a 1,000 frames, and then hold delete until my thumb hurts, I realize I have found a hobby. Or maybe it found me?
This is home to some of my favorites– just remember that for every favorite, 100 didn’t make the cut. Enjoy, but please don’t steal… all photos are the sole property of Sheila Stover.
